Golden Locks of the King...

One of Presley's friends has managed to hold on to the hair clump, which was cut off back in 1958 when the King enlisted in the Army, and is selling it as part of an auction of Elvis memorabilia on October 18 in Chicago.

It is expected to go for around 12k, if this is like other Elvis hair that has come to market you can bet it will go for more than the cost of gold per ounce...

Holly Madison Marries Travelocity Gnome

If the old saying “A picture is worth a thousand words” rings true, six of the words accompanying this photo would be, “Holly Madison got married on Sunday.”
Meanwhile, another, equally appropriate half-dozen would read, “That gnome is a lucky man.”
Madison’s publicity-filled weekend ended yesterday with a photo finish at Planet Hollywood. The 29-year-old “Peepshow” headliner posed for faux wedding photos with the Travelocity gnome. The stills will be used as part of an upcoming ad campaign.

Danny Gans Death Ruled Accidental

Legendary Las Vegas performer Danny Gans' cause of death has been ruled an accidental overdose of pain medication.
Clark County Coroner Michael Murphy said Danny officially died from hydromorphone toxicity due to chronic pain syndrome -- and that other contributing factors include hypertension cardiovascular disease and a disease that caused him to produce an abnormal amount of red blood cells.
Murphy says Gans had a toxic reaction to the drug because of an existing heart condition. He added, "This was not drug abuse."
Danny died on May 1 at his home after a family member called 911 to say he was having trouble breathing. By the time paramedics arrived, it was too late.

Cramps founder Lux Interior dies at 60

Lux Interior, the singer, songwriter and founding member of the pioneering New York City horror-punk band the Cramps, died Wednesday. He was 60.
Interior, whose real name was Erick Lee Purkhiser, died at Glendale Memorial Hospital of a previously-existing heart condition.
The band became a staple of the late '70s Manhattan punk scene emerging from clubs such as Max's Kansas City and CBGB, and was one of the first acts to realize the potential of punk rock as theater and spectacle.
Often dressed in macabre, gender-bending costumes onstage, Interior evoked a lanky, proto-goth Elvis Presley, and his band quickly became notorious for volatile and decadent live performances.

Presley Gives Birth

According to Star Magazine, Elvis Presley's 40-year-old daughter, Lisa Marie, gave birth to twin girls at Los Robles Hospital in Thousand Oaks, California yesterday. Her two other children, Riley and Ben along with hubby Michael Lockwood, were there for the birth of the family's new additions.
