Jermaine's Wishful Thinking

In an interview broadcast Thursday on NBC's "Today" show, Jermaine Jackson said he wishes he had died instead of his younger brother...
"He went too soon. I don't know how people are going to take this, but I wish it was me," Jermaine Jackson said.
When asked why he felt that way, Jermaine Jackson said he always felt that he was Michael's "backbone."
Jermaine also says he would like to see Neverland Ranch as his brother Michael's final resting place.

Sarah Palin Is Still An Idiot

In a Friday morning television interview on NBC's "Today" show Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called on the public to rise up in opposition over David Letterman's "degrading" jokes about her daughter this week.
Letterman's explanation that he was referring to her 18-year-old daughter, Bristol, instead of her 14-year-old daughter, Willow, who accompanied her recently to New York, was met with derision by the governor. She called the remarks a "very convenient excuse"

Truth vs. Fear

A day after the president defended the decision to close the jail, Defense Secretary Robert Gates said alarm over shuttering the prison at Guantanamo Bay and relocating prisoners at the facility is "fear-mongering."
"There' a lot of fear-mongering about this," Gates said on the "Today" show. "We've never had an escape from a super max prison. And that's where these guys are going to go."
Gates, who served in the Bush administration and now works under Obama, called Gitmo "one of the finest prisons in the world" during an interview with Matt Lauer that aired Friday. "But it has a taint," he said.
The defense secretary said Obama had no choice but the shut down the prison and his plan does not jeopardize the safety of Americans.

Salma's Breast Adventure

Salma Hayek breast-fed an African baby.
On the Today Show Thursday morning, Kathie Lee Gifford asked the mother-of-one if she had, indeed volunteered to nurse a child on a recent trip to Sierra Leone, when the baby's mother stopped producing milk.
Salma, 42, said: "The baby was perfectly healthy, but the mother didn't have milk. He was very hungry. I was weaning my daughter Valentina, but I still had a lot of milk that I was pumping, so I breast-fed the baby. You should have seen his eyes. When he felt the nourishment, he immediately stopped crying."
Salma added, "It's about women sticking together and we really need to help the children in any way we can."

Heidi Dalibor is making headlines across the country…all because of an unpaid library fine.
