With an estimated monthly outlay of $2,000 for formula alone, octuplet mom Nadya Suleman is exploring revenue sources.
Suleman's attorney confirms that Suleman probably will sign a deal very soon to feature her and her family of 14 children in a reality TV show.
Earlier this week, Suleman told the Whittier Daily News that she is contemplating applying for federal assistance to feed her 14 children. "If I need to apply for [the Women, Infants and Children program] to provide my babies with formula, then I'm going to," she told the newspaper.
WIC provides federal grants to states for food, health-care referrals and nutrition education for low-income women and children up to age 5 who are found to be at nutritional risk.
As for the reality show, the amount of money Suleman would earn, and how long the show runs for, would depend upon the ratings.

Outrageous OctoMom

A videotape of Nadya Suleman delivering her eight children in a California hospital is available for upward of $1 million, according to celebrity Web site TMZ.com.
The tape was made with the mother's consent, although it's unclear who was running the camera, TMZ said. The site quoted multiple sources as saying the tape was being shopped.
The unemployed Suleman, 33, could certainly use the cash for her family of 14. She delivered the octuplets on Jan. 23 after undergoing in vitro fertilization.
Although she has yet to reveal the identity of the sperm donor dad, Suleman - in a blog for RadarOnline.com - says all eight kids will eventually learn his identity.

She never expected so many of the implanted embryos would develop into fetuses, but rejected the idea of aborting some of them.
The confirmation that the woman used IVF to conceive the eight-pack is sure to raise an ethical furor.

A woman gave birth Monday to a litter of eight babies in a span of five minutes, only the second time in history live octuplets have been born, doctors said.
The mother, guilty of severe selfishness has remained anonymous. She gave birth by cesarean section to six boys and two girls weighing between 1.8 pounds and 3.4 pounds, said doctors.
