The Real Housewives of Washington DC

Bravo announced that their next amazing piece of television won't be The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but instead they will be following the pill-popping wives of toe-tapping politicians in DC. Bravo issued this paragraph of words:
"We're tapping personalities who are among Washington D.C.'s influential players, cultural connoisseurs, fashion sophisticates and philanthropic leaders - the people who rub elbows with the most prominent people in the country and easily move in the city's diverse political and social circles..."

McCain On SNL

John McCain appeared on “Saturday Night Live” last night (alongside Tina Fey as his running mate Sarah Palin) in what can only be described as an odd turn in the presidential election.
The opening night skit (above) featured McCain and “Palin” on the cable shopping channel QVC, with McCain noting that while Barack Obama could afford buying time on three major networks, his campaign was forced down the channel. Cindy McCain made an appearance as well as a presenter.
Perhaps the most awkward moment was when “Palin” announced she was going “rogue” and introduced her line of “Palin 2012” T-shirts (asking buyers to please refrain from wearing them until after Tuesday) and proclaiming that she would would not be returning to Alaska.

McCain Watch

Wannabe first lady Cindy McCain was hospitalized after an “enthusiastic supporter” shook her hand a little too hard, causing a pre-existing carpal tunnel injury to flare up.

It's not good for Cindy to be in pain. Remember what happened a few years ago?

Can you say PAINKILLER ABUSE...?

McCain Volunteers Wife for Topless Contest

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee, Senator John McCain, perhaps unknowingly, volunteered his wife for a beauty pageant on Monday that features contestants topless -- without any decency -- at the Sturgis, South Dakota, motorcycle rally.

"I was looking at the Sturgis schedule, and noticed that you had a beauty pageant, so I encouraged Cindy to compete," McCain told an audience at the rally. "I told her [that] with a little luck, she could be the only woman to serve as both the First Lady and Miss Buffalo Chip."

Parody v. Reality

If you found last week's real cover of The New Yorker magazine offensive because of the way it depicted Barack and Michelle Obama, then you may also take issue with this fake cover of Vanity Fair.
The portrait on the wall appears to be President Bush. The document burning in the fireplace is the Constitution. Republican presidential candidate John McCain, who turns 72 soon, is using a walker and has a bandage on his head (presumably a reference to his battles against skin cancer). His wife Cindy, who overcame an addiction to painkillers, is holding pill bottles.

Cindy McCain, this Bud's for You

NEW YORK, New York - Republican presidential candidate John McCain's wife, Cindy, could benefit from Anheuser-Busch Cos Inc's $52 billion takeover by Belgium-based InBev.
Cindy McCain, together with dependent children, earned $50,001-$100,000 in dividend income for 2007 from Anheuser-Busch shares.
Anheuser-Busch paid $1.25 dividend in 2007 per share, according to company filings.
That indicates that Cindy McCain, together with dependents, owned between 40,000 and 80,000 shares.
At the offer price of $70 a share, those shares would be worth $2.8 million to $5.6 million.

Separated at Birth?

Senator John McCain is fighting accusations from the New York Times that he had an affair with lobbyist Vicki Iseman. The Senator released a statement to the Times calling the story a "smear campaign."
There's one thing that cannot be denied, and that is the incredible physical similarity between Senator McCain's wife Cindy and Vicki Iseman.

Personally, I would skip right to the part about addiction to the painkillers Percocet and Vicodin. Is it just me or does she look possessed?
