R.I.P.: Mr. Blackwell

Mr. Blackwell (AKA Richard Blackwell AKA Richard Selzer) passed away yesterday afternoon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles of complications from an intestinal infection. He was 86.
In 1960, Mr. Blackwell started his annual "Worst Dressed" list and continued to do one every year. His last list was in 2007.
Victoria Beckham has the honor of being his last victim. He had this to say about her: "Forget the fashion spice -- wearing a skirt would suffice! In one skinny-mini monstrosity after another, pouty posh can really wreck 'em."

Radiohead webcast today

Suicide rockers Radiohead released a 'testcast' last night (11/8/o7) in the build-up to the likely release of their webcast tonight (11/9/07).
The 20-minute video included footage of the band, minus drummer Phil Selway, performing a cover of Bjork's track 'Unravel', from her 1997 album 'Homogenic'.

The 'testcast', which was streamed on Radiohead.tv at 10pm (GMT) last night, began with Thom Yorke DJing what began as an ambient tune, but then metamorphosed into a bass-led electro track overlaid by icy Radiohead-esque synths.
Then, following twenty seconds of pulsating multi-colored graphics, the band were shown performing a cover of 'Unravel' in a rehearsal studio.
The 'testcast' ended with footage of an unidentified person writing "to whom it may concern" and "I give up" backwards on a blackboard.
