Williams Recovering

Oscar winner Robin Williams is expected to make a complete recovery from his recent heart surgery in the next two months and plans to resume his comedy tour afterward.
The 57-year-old actor had an operation to replace an aortic valve on March 13. He was expected to make a complete recovery in the next eight weeks.
A couple of hours after surgery, he was entertaining the medical team and making them laugh.
Williams being Williams, he couldn't resist a comic aside.
"I got some great new material for the tour and can't wait to get back on the road," he said. "I'm thinking the next leg of the tour will be `Weapons of Self-Destruction and Reconstruction'!"

Andy Dick has a new web talk show that premiered last night on Atom. It’s called House Arrest, because Andy is on court-mandated house arrest.
Dick brings you the first and only celebrity talk show that necessitates a GPS ankle bracelet and the permission of a parole officer. Andy Dick is his typical, effete, scataological, and horribly uncomfortable self.
It’s hard to tell whether this is fake or whether everybody really does feel like this around Andy Dick. If his behavior at Robin William's roast regarding the interaction of his tongue and Carrie Fisher's face is any indication, we think it might be real.

Robin Williams to Undergo Heart Surgery

Robin Williams needs heart surgery and must cancel the remainder of his one-man comedy show, "Weapons of Self-Destruction," his publicist said Thursday.
The 57-year-old actor needs an aortic valve replacement, according to a news release issued by his publicist. Williams' representatives would not give any more information on Williams' condition.

Robin Williams 2008 Tour

Entitled “Weapons of Self-Destruction,” the show will highlight Williams’ trademark free associations and riffs on social and political absurdities. The high-energy tour launches September 25th and Williams will remain on the road until the end of 2008.
“It’s an election year, which is basically Christmas for stand-up comics,” said Williams. “And I figured I should get my ass on the road while the Shrub is still in office. A lot has happened in the world and in my life since I last did this six years ago and there’s no better thrill and no better therapy than getting on that high-wire in front of a live audience.”
