It was merely a matter of time: Twitter, the latest social networking phenomenon, appears to have sparked its first libel action. And perhaps inevitably, singer Courtney Love, well known for sounding off online, is at its core.
According to a libel claim lodged by Love's former fashion designer, Dawn Simorangkir in Los Angeles Superior Court last Thursday, the widow of Nirvana frontman Kurt Cobain has carried out "an obsessive and delusional crusade" of malicious libel against her on Twitter, adding insult on MySpace and other websites.

Smoking Cobain's Remains?

Artist Natascha Stellmach (above) claims that she has possession of the Nirvana frontman's remains, which were recently stolen from Courtney Love's house (well, that's the kind of thing that happens when you hire cleaners from CraigsList).
Stellmach is going to toke her way through a spliff containing the ol' Kurt-powder as the final act of a work entitled 'Set Me Free'.

Blame it on Love

Danny Goldberg, former manager of Nirvana, has said Courtney Love was a toxic presence among the band.
According to Goldberg, Love had an instrumental role in Cobain's struggles with heroin and acted as the frontman's "mouthpiece".
"Courtney's very presence was a metaphor for the end of one era in the band's life and the beginning of another," he writes in his upcoming book Bumping Into Geniuses: My Life Inside the Rock And Roll Business.

Kurt Cobain’s Ashes Stolen

Three months ago Courtney Love revealed that her late husband, Kurt Cobain, had his estate plundered by identity theft. She claims $172 million was somehow stolen as the thieves took out multiple credit cards, lines of credit, and even bought a house using his name and social security number. She said that she knew the fraud was happening back in 2003 but that “nobody believed me until now.”
Now, Love’s Los Angeles home has been robbed, either recently or some time in the past - it’s hard to tell with her, and she found that not only were thousands in jewelry and clothes missing but that someone had taken Kurt’s ashes. She claims she’s suicidal after finding the ashes missing, and that she “used to take them everywhere with me”
