Straight Talk from Leon Redbone

"I've noticed how all these starlets and stars are elevated to the peak and then pushed off the edge," he said. "They are usually young and not mature enough to handle it, so they go off the deep end. I guess you have to pay that price if you want to get that high up on the board. That's the world we live in. It's no wonder I'm not interested in it."
Redbone has recorded some 15 albums, appeared on "Saturday Night Live," made Budweiser commercials and sang "Baby It's Cold Outside" with Zooey Deschanel for the 2003 movie "Elf."
A little effort, and he probably could be A-list. He played at Adam Sandler's wedding, after all. But he's just not interested in the American fame game.

Classic Redbone with Johnny Carson and Merv Griffin...
