HOUSE OF PAIN

Brothel raid police seize wooden stocks, electric prods, 9 whips, paddles, kinky boots, clothes pegs, handcuffs .. and a small vice

A MISS Whiplash madam had her torture chamber closed yesterday after the kinky sex games upset neighbours.

Natalie Bradshaw carried on running her vice den - complete with a wide array of bondage and domination gear - despite being on probation for operating another brothel in the same street.

She appeared in court in March and in May police swooped on her flat after complaints from disgusted neighbours.

In one bedroom, a large wooden cross hung on the wall above the bed.

There was also a bench with leather straps for restraining clients, a set of wooden stocks, and even electric torture prods.

The haul included nine whips, wooden and leather paddles, handcuffs, sex toys and a small vice.

They also seized a range of kinky clothing, including maids' outfits and nurses' uniforms.

Yesterday, Bradshaw, 26, was not in court to defend the civil action brought against her by police and Aberdeen City Council.

But neighbours who had turned up expecting to give evidence about the stream of prostitutes and customers arriving at the flat were jubilant when Aberdeen sheriff Douglas Cusine made a temporary closure order on the flat.

It means only Bradshaw and the flat's co-owner, named as Paul Cheyne on court documents, will be allowed on the premises at Union Grove, Aberdeen, for three months.

Solicitor Elaine Falconer, representing the police and council, said there were four flats above the brothel and one immediately below.

She told the court: "There have been significant problems with prostitution and high numbers of people entering the premises at all times of the day and night.

"There were a significant number of males who would ring a buzzer and be allowed in. The sounds of people having sex could be heard in the neighbouring flats."

Mrs Falconer added that one resident had become so fed-up they had sold up and another had moved out.

The court heard that Bradshaw had already been convicted of running a brothel at another address in the same street.

In March, she admitted she ran it between October 10, 2003, and August 31, 2004.

She was placed on probation for nine months.

The Crown have launched a £70,000 proceeds of crime action against her to confiscate the money she made illegally at that address.

Sheriff Cusine said he was satisfied there was enough evidence to enable him to grant a temporary closure order.

Bradshaw and Cheyne are now living in a house in Ashgrove Road West, Aberdeen. They could not be contacted for comment.

But Bradshaw's former neighbours were delighted with the closure order.

One said: "Hopefully it's the end of a nightmare.

"We hope the flat is now put up for sale and is bought by a respectable member of the public.

"It's not funny having to go through what we've had to endure.

"God knows what was going on behind those walls."

Superintendent Adrian Watson said: "The distress and harm caused to the residents surrounding this particular premises has been considerable."

The force were granted a Closure Order in terms of the Antisocial Behaviour etc. (Scotland) Act 2004.

Superintendent Watson added: "I am very pleased our use of this power should now result in a period of respite for these residents.

"The successful outcome is the culmination of many months of evidence-gathering by officers and close liaison with our partners in Aberdeen City Council.

"But none of this would have been possible without the willingness of the residents to make their voices heard."
