This is true! As a grad of 1980 SRHS I can vouch for the origins aound 1977. The waldos I believe were also in the long-since dissolved school program SWAS (School within a school) as was I. Sad that I can't tell my kids this story. The funny thing is I have been living in Europe for 20 yrs and 420 is spray painted all over the place here...
