Record-size Rock

A small mining firm in South Africa announced it has dug up a green-tinted diamond twice the size of the current holder of the world’s largest title.
Diamond industry specialists have expressed skepticism about the authenticity of the find.

“If it is a real diamond, it’s an amazing freak…but it all sounds very strange,” a former top-rated diamond analyst said; suggesting that it is more likely to be a fluorite crystal.

But if it’s real, the purported 7,000-carat diamond would attract furious bidding from buyers worldwide and could fetch up $30 million.
