Breakfast Stick Up

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - Mix one egg with other ingredients of choice. Put results on a stick. That‘s about all the recipe requirements involved at the Illinois State Fair‘s newest culinary contest, the battle to make the best breakfast on a stick.
First place in the inaugural "Breakfast on a Stick" contest's adult division: sausage, egg and cheese wrapped in a biscuit with a side of gravy. The entries were judged on taste (40 percent), appearance (30 percent), and creativity (20 percent and ease of preparation (10 percent). The recipes for all entries will be available on the department of agriculture's Web site in about a week.
