Libation Celebration

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana — Bar owners, mixologists and lovers of the liquor industry descended onto New Orleans this weekend for four days of cocktail revelry, education and networking — and to strategize how best to out-drink the recession.

In what has become one of the biggest events in the drink industry, Tales of the Cocktail kicked off Thursday and runs through Sunday, mixing suppliers, bartenders, historians, writers and cocktail enthusiasts —- all in revered study and celebration of the perfect libation.
