A new study outlines how infants could run into speech problems due to an increased amount of time in front of the TV, when they zone out and interact less with parents and others in the room.
Specifically, 770 fewer words are spoken by adults to children for every hour they spent watching TV, even if parents and children are sitting in the room watching the same program.
