Cynthia McFadden Wears the Room

The Couch, the Drapes: the Inaugural Ball Dress
ABC News reporter Cynthia McFadden attends Barack Obama's inaugural gala events dressed as a living room.
She knew she was to appear on television, right?

I just came across this post googling for a picture of this EXACT MISFORTUNE. Seriously - CM came on screen last night and my husband & I both stammered in disbelief. Did she think she was attending a Medieval-themed Ball? I'm not even sure how that dress was even in consideration!

Lovely to "meet" you ;)

I am with you. What an absolutely horrible dress and with her figure - oh boy. I don't think anyone could have pulled off that dress.

I've been searching for a picture of the dress. It was hideous and no one else I know was watching. What wa she thinking. It's like she pulled on the drapes. It's ugly and does nothing for her figure.

I personally had to do a double take. Oh Scarlett (O'Hara) I didn't know that you were coming tonight. Okay, okay let's be serious, no one told her...Cynthia baby what is this, you're my friend, I CAN'T allow you to go on the air looking like a sectional. I'm just saying.

When I saw that dress I gagged. I like CM but that dress was awful!! As Carol Burnett said in her famous skit, "It was something I saw hanging in a window and I just had to have it."

I was there and, if anything, she looked worse in person. The pictures can't convey the full horror of that dress. And between takes, she was a very unpleasant person in the way she interacted with her colleagues (I saw her use the "f" word), and in the way she ignored the members of the public gathered around her. All in all, she made quite an impression!

HAHAHAHA LMFAO I swear when I saw this dress I thought she went shopping in one of Warren Jeffs wives closets. I have NEVER seen such a monstrosity on live television before, and frankly I cannot believe that I have not seen her in at least one worst dressed list...this is SOOO much worse than Jessica Simpletons mom jeans...
