Mellow Down Not So Easy
Austin, Texas - Paul Webster Feinstein, 24, apparently snapped earlier this month when he set fire to the KOOP FM radio studios because his song selections for an overnight Internet broadcast were changed.
Feinstein was arrested for second-degree felony arson that caused $300,000 in damage to the studios of 91.7 FM KOOP and kept the station off the air for nineteen days. Feinstein had an argument with a fellow volunteer about what kind of music should be put into a digital library for the overnight program. Feinstein eventually quit, but he made a copy of the station's key before leaving. A week later, on January 5, he returned at night when the station was empty. He poured gasoline on control panels in two studios and then torched the place.
Here's the kicker, the name of his radio program was "Mellow Down Easy."
