Tribute to Fats

NEW YORK - It was Fats Domino Day in New York City last Thursday, with the Fat Man visiting the Big Apple for the first time in decades and receiving the key to the city from Mayor Michael Blomberg. A benefit celebrating the release of the star-studded compilation CD Goin' Home: A Tribute to Fats Domino was held at the Pink Elephant.
After 55 years, Fats reunited with Lloyd Price to reprise their performance of the vintage classic "Lawdy Miss Clawdy," the song originally recorded in 1952.
