All day Saturday at San Jose’s Arena Green park, a few thousand fans sat through a long list of opening acts and interminable set changes with one question on their minds: “Will he show?”
After waiting till nearly 9 p.m. – at a show scheduled to end at 8 – fans saw Stone shuffle out in an oversize white hoody, a white baseball cap, dark shades, gold chains and baggy jeans...
Stone sat behind a keyboard for a while, lent his vocals to “If You Want Me to Stay” and “Sing a Simple Song,” then exited the stage before “I Want to Take You Higher” wrapped up. Total time on stage? About 15 minutes.
